Well, if you have a specific recipe that you need to make beautiful this would make a terrific "Help Me Jacob" question. But, for these cookies specifically, I simply mix the dough, refrigerate it, form the the dough into balls using a small ice cream scoop to ensure that they are all exactly the same size, I then hand place six or seven extra chocolate chips on the top of each ball, then I freeze them, and then bake them. I find the frozen balls bake up much more symmetrically, and the chocolate chips on top just make them beautiful (and a little extra chocolate never hurt anything). It does require some extra steps, I realize, but all of them are easy, and mostly just require waiting. There it is Hennifer, my secret for perfectly beautiful cookies, each and every time. Shhhhhhh. . . Don't tell anyone!

Those look divine! How do you do that? I swear I manage to make my food taste ok but rarely look like pieces of art.

You know, you came under false pretenses last night, and your little "oh I decided not to" shrug was a dismal attempt to let yourself off the hook.
It's a good thing you're so god damned lovable you bitch, and that we want you even empty-handed.
(Though I do believe there is a debt to to be paid now.)

Hi Jacob! I found your blog through Chey's.
Are these the cookies you just "felt weird and a little anxiety" about bringing?
I am so disappointed now.
